About Lauren
I am an English teacher from Laguna Niguel, CA. I began volunteering to help high school students with their English homework through the International Rescue Committee, San Diego in 2013. After I graduated with my English Teaching Credential from San Diego State University, I taught English as a Second Language to refugees at World Relief, Seattle.

My first meeting with a student is spent learning my student's needs more so than completing an entire lesson. Student needs differ from oral, kinesthetic, and auditorial lessons. Therefore, I cannot use the same teaching methodologies with everyone. My goal is to build rapport and get to know each student individually. Motivation to learn and enjoyment of each lesson allows students to learn English faster than thought possible.
