About Mathilde
My background has allowed me to propose a dynamic and concrete teaching method.
From an academic point of view, I followed the following path:
- Baccalaureate, economic section
- HEC preparatory class, economic section
- Grenoble Ecole de Management, Graduate School of Business
Member of the charity organization Savoir Oser la Solidarité
- Consultant
Just as importantly, I've been living abroad:
- In England, in Brighton
- In the United States, in Boston
- In Panama, in Panama City
It is these combined experiences that allow me today to offer quality teaching. For more than four years now, I have been giving private lessons, both in a private setting and in an associative setting.
I have developed two major convictions about teaching in private tuition:
- It is necessary to share a clear and objective vision with the student
- Pedagogy involves explanation, linking the language to the student's interests, but above all, it implies building confidence regarding a learning process that can be long and challenging.

Following private lessons is not enough to learn a language!
I have been giving private lessons for more than 4 years. I have been a student myself until I was 24 years old. However, I unlocked my learning of English and Spanish by living abroad, two languages that I now master fluently. These two experiences have given me a strong belief in the importance of language learning:
- Private lessons allow you to acquire the basics but are not enough to master a language.
- Learning a language is facilitated by immersion in the culture and customs study.
- It is easier and more rewarding to study a language if you link the learning process to your own interests, ambitions, and habits.
However, not everyone can afford to live abroad to satisfy their desire or need to master a foreign language. Therefore, I offer tailor-made coaching to help you achieve your goal!
Teaching method
The teaching is in the form of a weekly formula, combining:
- A weekly one-to-one lesson to practice vocabulary and grammar based on the oral learning method. The course is anchored on a concrete support in line with the student's interests (book, song, video, etc.).
- The sending of resources and exercises on a daily basis, the frequency can be reviewed at the student's request.
- The provision of corrections but also of a communication channel to answer the student's specific questions.
The structure of the course should allow the student to link language learning to his daily life and to cling to the culture he wants to get closer to: discovering and learning a language opens up one’s horizons! My approach proposes a dynamic teaching, adapted to the student, which frees him/her from rigid academic silos.
Who are the courses for?
The weekly formula is intended for anyone wishing to learn or perfect a language, whether for professional or personal reasons.
This formula is particularly suitable for anyone with a specific deadline for which they wish to achieve a certain level of language proficiency: a trip, an exam, a professional opportunity, etc.
