About Emma
I was born and raised in the United States: English is my first language. I also obtained my CPE (Cambridge English: proficiency) certificate at the Dutch secondary school (C2 level). In addition to the bachelor of law, I also follow the bachelor philosophy in English, which further broadened my English academic skills.

I base my lessons on the material that my students receive. From there I will explain the main points of the material so that the students can get a helicopter view of the material. In addition, I will go through some practice assignments in class and let the students work independently on the assignments, whereby my help can always be called in. Active participation is very important to me, so I will ask students questions during the lesson. This way, the lesson can become more conversational and the students themselves have a chance to think about the material and process it again. In my experience this is the best way to be taught (especially with regard to studying for tests), but of course I am always open to specific teaching wishes (for example, offering support in doing homework, or covering a specific doctrine that needs extra attention).
