About Laia
I am a biology student and grew up in a 4-lingual family in Barcelona. My parents speak English at home and I am fluent in the language, with a neutral accent. Since I grew up in Spain, I am also fluent in Spanish and Catalan. I have also worked in an English-speaking daycare for two years and have been an Aupair abroad, so I have a lot of experience with younger children learning a language :)

I think it's important to have casual conversations about everyday life so that you or your child can loosen up and learn to talk comfortably in either language. So about school, work, friends, family, etc. But also other topics of your choice that you are interested in, or if you are preparing for an oral exam. I'm also glad to practise oral speaking structures (e.g. demonstrative, persuasive, educative...)
With my experience working at an English kindergarten and as an Aupair, with younger kids, I like them to learn through playing and use body language to help them understand easy and everyday vocabulary (e.g. washing hands, eating, playing, drinking, etc)
I can improve and help you/your child with casual conversations and learn the structure of the English/Spanish language.

Laia is an amazing teacher! She's so kind and enthusiastic. She's really helped my daughter feel comfortable about speaking Spanish through a lot of playing and patience. I definitely recommend her!
