About Frederic

Given my previous experience as an auditor at KPMG and HR at AIA Australia and Melbourne City Mission, I have acquired practical skills that are useful for tutoring such as proactiveness, eyes for details, timely delivery and effective performance, managing and guiding others, and excelling at social interactions. I also have a natural talent for helping and teaching people of all ages. During my years at Monash University, I was also delivering tutoring services to other students who struggled with their courses or were facing language barriers.

I sat for IELTS, Cambridge A-Level, and O-Level, and have studied with British Council for numerous years. Furthermore, I have won several awards in English and was a top student in my English and French classes. I competed in Alliance Francaise too.

Furthermore, I am a social extrovert and globe-trotter who travelled to many places like Belgium, Greece, Italy, France, United Kingdoms, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, South Africa, and Canada. I am a very open-minded person and a good listener.

About the lesson

My first session is free of charge and will consist of a first impression for both student and tutor and getting an overview of the content. Each session can be up to 1 hour depending on the student's needs and guidance. I do not encourage students to take unnecessary or additional sessions if I see results (I genuinely like helping students).

Our sessions will be:
- Interactive and interesting;
- Specific to the need of the student and their current syllabus; and
- Provide guidance and useful tips for improvement.

(No additional homework required unless strictly necessary or requested - all exercises will be done during our sessions)

I can be very flexible in my teaching approaches as students each have different personalities, interests, and learning paces. Since learning is especially important at that age, it is my duty to ensure that the students are learning in the best way possible - one that is suitable for them.

I was struggling a bit at first with my english essays and found it very hard to come up with appropriate words/idioms or even meet the word count. After a few weeks with Frederic, I felt a lot more confident as my essays started becoming more coherent and I noticed a positive change in my writing ever since. He was very attentive and provided a lot of useful tips that no other teachers had given me before. He was genuinely caring and knew exactly what i needed to improve. I have the pleasure as a mother, to recommend my son Frederic as a teacher. He is very fluent in both english and french and learnt chinese as well. He is very good in writing and speaking and his grammar is extensive, simple and clear. Having been to Loreto Convent, Frederic is good at drawing and loves pets. We have have puppies for several years too.
Frederic has a strong sense of family and belonging. We live in a family of 7 brothers and sisters and 19 cousins. My eldest brother,sister are teachers in private secondary schools. My nephew and niece specilized in pre primary and kinder garden teachings.
I feel confident in recommending my son Frederic as a teacher. He has a strong sense of responsibility and leadership. He is fully reliable, patient and caring. He is capable of handling children in all situations with thoughtfulness and maturity.
