About Alphy
As of now, I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Software Engineering at the University of Alberta. I have been tutoring 8th - 10th grade students from when I was in 11th grade. I only got more students as time went on, who often commented how hard it was for them to forget a topic I had taught. I am fluent in advanced calculus and algebra, passing high school math with a 3.8 GPA. I have also pursued an intense two-year course on python programming and have made a school management system for my alma mater.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I can make math and physics exciting, showing how text-book topics play out in the real world including everything from sports to video games. I am good in breaking down complex topics using fun analogies and I often ask leading questions so that students can reach correct conclusions on their own.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up Game or Brain Teaser: We start with a fun puzzle or problem to get our brains warmed up and set the tone.
Concept Breakdown: I introduce the core topic, keeping it light and easy to follow, and show how it connects to something in the real world, like the physics of sports or math in art.
Guided Practice: We solve problems together, with plenty of chances for the student to lead the way as they gain confidence.
Challenge Time: I provide practice questions with a mix of straightforward and creative challenges, encouraging a sense of accomplishment with each one.
