About Andrew
I worked part time at my high school teaching an extracurricular physics program to younger students and volunteered in teaching HSC physics to members of my own grade, with high results. I also have worked professionally for a tutoring company writing materials and teaching external students achieving very high results. Overall I have been teaching for 2 years with all HSC students achieving 98.5+ ATAR and on the top of Aus in extracurricular physics.
I'm a university student studying Engineering and Science, majoring in physics. I graduated high school with an OP1/99.70 with a NSW State Rank in Maths Extension 2 (Math C Equiv) and a top band in physics, chemistry and biology. I'm motivated as a tutor and am experienced in and dedicated to teaching.

Rather than rote-learning, a conceptual approach is highly important to achieve at the very top and gain a true understanding of a subject. Materials must be written tailored to the student and instruction is focused on the student's needs and conceptual understanding. Students should be able to work hard with and without help - tutoring is an aid only. Practical lessons may be necessary for some subjects. Lessons will typically consist of revision, new content, practice and practical with different times for each depending on the course content.
