Hi there! I’m a qualified tutor who loves helping students gain confidence and do well in their studies. I have a bachelor’s in computer engineering and several years of experience teaching computer science, math, and physics to learners of all ages and skill levels. In my tutoring, I’m clear, patient, and always customize my approach to what each student needs. My tutoring style centers on the learner, prioritizing interaction and customization for each individual. I aim to establish a strong conceptual base, promote active engagement, and nurture the ability to tackle problems independently. My approach includes the following elements: Each engagement kicks off with a brief assessment or open conversation, allowing me to gauge the learner’s current strengths and areas for growth. I organize sessions around specific, attainable goals, ensuring every activity aligns with the desired outcome. I lead students from foundational to more complex ideas, incorporating examples, analogies, visual tools, and connections to everyday life. I frequently ask questions, use mini-quizzes, facilitate discussions, and introduce hands-on tasks to keep students actively thinking and applying ideas. I deliver constructive critiques immediately and prompt learners to consider what strategies worked or what could improve for next time. A usual tutoring session spans from 60 to 90 minutes. I adjust the timetable based on the subject, the student’s age, and their ability to maintain focus, shortening or lengthening as needed, especially for younger learners or intensive topics. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and I have more than a year of tutoring experience in computer science, math and physics, both in one-on-one settings and small groups. I have also worked with students preparing for standardized tests, where I have guided them in mastering specific content and test-taking strategies.
