About Juan

I am a Civil engineer who has taken more than 7 math and physics college courses and also done teaching courses. I have taught several students from different countries ranging from 5 to 20 years old achieving great results and receiving great feedback from them.

About the lesson

I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 10 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. My approach is to use interactive teaching which seeks to involve the student in finding the solutions and reinforcing the concepts as long as necessary to provide the necessary tools to tackle the activities. Lessons typically start with a review of the concepts, reinforcing any areas in doubt and then proceed to exercises where we can put in practice the concepts.

Juan and I met in 2008. He actually helped me pass my math classes in my last two years of high school through personal tutoring classes (2008 and 2009). He is very patient and kind to his students. He makes complex math problems seem simple. His background in civil engineering helped him have a vast understanding of different topics such as physics, and mathematics. I don't know what I would have done in high school if it was not for him.

I met Juan while looking for help with my math class. I was having a rough time understanding it until Juan gave me a hand. My grades started to improve a lot!

He's really patient with his students, he really knows the subjects and he explains them simple and clean, not like my real teacher did!

I highly recommend Juan, for anyone who needs that extra help!

Thanks, Juan!
