About Joseph

My academic achievements reflect the personal accountability I have to strive for the best version of myself, a mindset I aim to instill in every student:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), First Class Honors – University of Adelaide (GPA 6.9)
• Recipient of J.C Stobie Engineering Scholarship (Academic Merit)
• Dux of Christian Brothers College — ATAR 99.7 (2020) (A+ with Merit in Specialist Mathematics (20), A+ in Mathematical Methods (19.6), A+ with Merit in Physics (19.9) and A in Biology (19))
• Mabel Tapp Prize – Highest academic result in Specialist Mathematics

Teaching is not a casual pastime for me. I am always deliberating refining my craft. Educational practice is a genuine vocation, strengthened by having four years of experience as an Educational Support Officer and continually evolving as I undertake a Master of Teaching (Secondary School) at Flinders University.

About the lesson

Balancing academic pressure, social commitments and future decision is no small task. That’s where the right support can make all the difference

I do not believe tutoring is just about working through worksheets or memorizing solutions. My approach is built on comprehensive subject expertise, building genuine rapport, personalized teaching strategies, and developing confidence alongside competence.

I focus on reinforcing student’s understanding of ‘why’ instead of simply ‘how’, simplifying those complex concepts of Newtonian Physics into clear, manageable lumps of information. More importantly, I value students not merely for their results, but for their willingness to make mistakes and the resilience to navigate the demands placed upon them.

Whether a student needs foundational clarity or is already confident but striving for academic excellence, I tailor sessions to meet them where they are.
