About James
I graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2022, with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. Since then, I have been working as an engineer for one of the largest construction companies in the UK.
Before this, I worked in one of Birmingham's largest schools to successfully deliver group and 1-2-1 sessions to boost achievement across maths and science.
I vary my teaching style to accommodate the needs and objectives of my students. A typical GCSE programme might be:
- Consultation with parents & student to determine current position & aspirations.
- A short, informal test to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Weekly sessions to target specific topics, and reinforce understanding.
- Past paper practise as exams approach, to develop exam technique.
I am happy to provide additional homework tasks outside of sessions, following consultation with parents and students!
