About Emma
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree - Major in English Literature. I have a Bachelor of Education degree - Major in Elementary and Middle Years. I have a Master of Education Degree. I have tutored students ranging from age 5 up to university aged students. I have been a certified elementary school teacher for 6 years. I am currently teaching second and third grade, but I have experience teaching many other grades as well. Teaching is my passion, and I love getting to know my students and learning about their unique qualities!

I like to differentiate my lessons to my student’s interests and unique learning styles. For example, if I am teaching a writing class, and the student loves Pokemon, I will happily include this in my lesson! I love art and enjoy incorporating it into my lessons when appropriate. When teaching math, I like to use various strategies, including hands-on materials. I work with learners with diverse abilities and love to give students a chance to showcase their strengths.
