About Callan

I'm Callan, a 31 year old male residing from the South West of WA. I'm incredibly driven, a forward thinker, loyal and highly skilled. I'm creatively driven and passionate showcasing an array of skillsets and experiences in various workplaces. With the ability to work collaboratively providing you an enthusiastic learning environment, effective techniques and present high work standards. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges with students as needed. I thrive on teaching and learning!

I posses a down to earth kind/compassionate nature. Enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to events, surfing and spending time at the beach.

Passion for the arts, filmmaking, photography, film, acting, movies, music, food, travel and the environment.

I'm extremely grateful for the exceptional experiences I've had so far in my career and am now looking to put my talents to use for you!

About the lesson

One on one learning on theories, techniques and how to engage effectively as an actor. Study on performance and practical assessments. Character and scene breakdown workshops. Refection on work and feedback. Great opportunity for development and extra necessary learning! Includes thorough teaching that isn't taught in other acting classes.

Typically I would like to keep sessions brief, one hour max. This allows for concise student attention and engagement. Beginner to intermediate courses ranging from ages 12 - 41.

Differentiated instruction - tailored to suit students on differing needs. etc, Level as an actor and learning capabilities.

Allow time for questions. Allowing students to engage with the material, comprehend it and remember it more easily.

Promote handwritten notes. Superb way to recall information and stay focused during class.

Visual cues, imagery and instructional videos. Great way to support messages and keep students interested in content.

Educated at University level in Acting and Directing. Personal experience as an actor. Studied Acting at Acting classes Perth. Performed in community theatre and student short Films. Experience as Tutor for There With Care Support Solutions as High school Tutor.

I endeavour to the best of my ability to find ways to connect with students, keep the material engaging and the classes as fun as possible. It's a great time!

Their time spent with me is definitely worthwhile and they will go away with a great skillset, foundation and knowledge of acting to put them in good stead for their career.
