About Maya

My work in high-pressure environments, such as in the lab and as an EMT, has allowed me to develop effective communication skills and the ability to break down complicated information into manageable, understandable pieces. I am accustomed to adapting to different situations and learning styles, and I aim to create an engaging and supportive environment for students. I am excited to apply my knowledge and experiences to help students build their understanding and confidence in science and math.

About the lesson

I am soon to be a graduate with a BS in Biology from Drexel University, where I have acquired a comprehensive understanding of both science and math through my coursework and hands-on experience. My studies have spanned various topics, including biology, chemistry, physics, and advanced math, providing me with the foundation to help students understand complex concepts in these areas. Additionally, my real-life experience working in a lab and as an EMT has given me a practical, applied understanding of scientific principles and problem-solving that I can share with students.
