About Yip
Teaching English has always been my passion, and with 12 years of experience as an ESL tutor, I have had the opportunity to help many students grow and succeed. I work with high school and college students, supporting them in building strong English skills.
I have taught around 150 to 200 students, each with different goals and learning levels. This has helped me develop flexible teaching methods that suit individual needs. I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and useful for both academic and daily communication.
A key milestone in my journey has been seeing my students achieve real progress. Many have improved their grades, gained confidence, and become better communicators. Their success stories inspire me to continue teaching with dedication.
My teaching style is supportive and interactive. I encourage students to practise regularly and learn from their mistakes. I create a positive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated.
I believe education can change lives, and I am proud to be a part of my students’ learning journey.

I teach ESL with a methodology built on Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, Communication, and Positivity, focusing on lessons that are interactive, practical, and tailored to student goals. I combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises with real-life scenarios to develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence.
Accountability ensures students make measurable progress and achieve learning objectives, while Integrity fosters a safe, honest, and respectful environment. Flexibility allows lessons to adapt to each student’s learning style and pace.
Communication emphasises active participation, dialogue, and feedback, and Positivity motivates learners, celebrates progress, and builds confidence. I also assist with related subjects to strengthen English skills for academics and daily life.
