About Theva

I am a dedicated and approachable teacher with experience teaching Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Combined Science, and Mathematics to students from Year 7 to Year 11. I have experience with the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE curricula and am passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and tailored to each learner’s needs, ability, and pace. I use clear explanations, guided practice, questioning techniques, real-life examples, and practical activities to make difficult concepts easier to understand. I also incorporate past-year and exam-style questions to strengthen problem-solving and examination skills.

I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and developing a genuine interest in the subject. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop their confidence, understanding, and independent learning skills.

About the lesson

I use a student-centred and interactive approach to teaching, combining clear explanations, guided practice, questioning techniques, practical activities, and real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand. I adapt my teaching methods according to each student’s learning style, ability, and areas for improvement.

My lessons typically run for 1 hour, with flexibility depending on the student’s level, subject, and learning goals. Lessons are structured to include concept teaching, practice questions, discussion, and feedback.

I am an experienced teacher with expertise in Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Combined Science, and Mathematics. I have experience teaching students from Year 7 to Year 11 and preparing them for school assessments, Cambridge Checkpoint, and IGCSE examinations.

My lessons are suitable for lower secondary and secondary students, particularly those following the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum. I also provide targeted support for students who need help strengthening their fundamentals, improving examination techniques, or building confidence in Science and Mathematics.
