About Johnathan
I am an admitted MSc student to University of Gothenburg's Applied Biostatistics program and previously worked as a Senior Data Scientist (Imaging) in renal pathology. I conducted research on kidney diseases, ran statistics, designed cell segmentation AI's, built healthcare apps, and classified tissues in medical biopsies.
I am also a master's conferred biology graduate and a master's conferred mathematics graduate. I use the R language, the Tidyverse, Caret, and TensorFlow/Keras for data science research. My biology thesis research was in disease genetics, disease ecology, movement ecology, and statistical methodology. My mathematics thesis was in group theory and machine learning, specifically in using neural networks to solve the Rubik's Cube and other twisty puzzles. I have also worked on projects involving time-series analysis of biosensor data, cluster analysis for identification of amphibian species from audio data, and risk determination and protocol recommendations from roadkill data.
I possess several certificates in data science and machine learning. Techniques that I am well-versed in are deep neural networks, CNNs, twin CNNs, RNNs, NLP, recommender systems, Hopfield networks, generalized linear models, Bayesian regression, Markov chains, PCA & t-SNE, SVMs, kernel density estimation, a range of statistical analyses, encryption & decryption, etc.
