About Christa
Hello! My name is Christa, I'm still learning, much like my students. I feel like you can never stop learning in your life. I love to have fun with my students, to make sure they're not feeling bored or stagnant in their learning. Something new can be taught from English every day, even if it's only one word. Like Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia! That's the word for the phobia of long words, which is coincidentally, the longest word in the English dictionary!

- I approach the lessons with the idea that my students will be learning English to succeed in an English speaking country, want to read English books or play English video games, or watch English movies and TV.
- A lesson would involve myself getting familiarized with the current level of English understanding of the student(s). From there I can decide on which method to use for them. With language studies, you can choose multiple ways of teaching such as letting them pick out a book in English, letting them listen to an audio recording of the book to follow along and understand how English words are pronounced, or even have them test themselves with a friend or family member with reading simple sentences to each other and being able to see if they can understand.
- What sets me apart as a tutor is I strongly believe that each student learns in their own way, what can be working for one person, may not work for the person I am tutoring. I try my very best to be able to get my students to succeed in their study, even if we had to go off of a traditional route of teaching.
