About Muna
Hi, I’m Muna and I am a fourth-year medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have also graduated with a first-class degree in Biochemistry from a Russel group University.
I have a passion for teaching students so that they can reach their goals, and have years of experience when it comes to tutoring. I am friendly and approachable and will try my utmost best to keep you engaged and comfortable during our lessons.
My passion for teaching comes from the teachers I had whilst growing up who placed an importance on understanding key concepts as well as teaching me how to revise and retain my knowledge so that I could excel in all my exams. As a tutor, I love to have the input of my students, and listen to what it is your struggling with and help you understand those really difficult topics. To this end I will do regular check ins with you to make sure you are progressing so that you can reach your goals.
Holding 2 degrees, and currently working on my third in medicine, I understand the hard work and stress that comes with exam season, however I have been able to crack the code and I hope to teach you these techniques so that you too can excel during exam season.

My teaching method really revolves around you as a student as I tailor myself to suit your needs. I will always begin with a discussion around what your aims are with the lessons, what you want to learn, and when you need to know this information by (e.g if you have GCSE/A-Level/Mock exams upcoming). I will then draw up a plan of how we can tackle all the content and have enough time to work through practice papers together (Integral), so that you can reach your goals. This will be tailored around you specifically. And towards the end of every lesson I will be setting you small and achievable goals to work on until we have our next lesson so you can work on these skills independently, such as making flashcards, concept maps etc. The aim of this is to make you confident by the time it comes to exam season and to also teach you lifelong revision/exam technique that will benefit you for life.
I will also monitor you progress throughout so that we can identify areas you may be struggling with and focus on them so we can improve your overall understanding of the subject which will reflect in exams too.
