About John
I have excellent classroom management and am skilled in various teaching methods that I have been using to teach students of all backgrounds and of all Mathematics levels. I am passionate about Mathematics pedagogy and my teaching style is to create a safe space and trustful environment for my students to feel at ease to be vulnerable, share, learn, and achieve academic success. Experience has taught me that every young boy or girl has what it takes to succeed, it is the role of the Teacher to find their challenges and support them to grow and succeed. Throughout the years, the students I have taught and their parents have kept in touch with me, and expressed their gratitude for having me as a teacher and for the boost and lasting impact that my teaching has given them in their studies. That’s one of the things I am most grateful about in my career.
I am a native French speaker, holder of a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a Professional Teaching Certification (CAPES), a Diplome Universitaire of the French Mission of the University of Caen in Normandie in France, a Mission Laíque Francaise Certification from MLF America and an ongoing Master of Educational Business Administration at American College of Education that I will complete in June of next year. I am also a certified Education professional from Maryland and have solid experience in the use of educational IT equipment and software.
