About PAARTHAN
Hi, I'm Paarthan! I'm a Computer Science and Engineering graduate from India, now living in Dublin and studying for an MSc in Business Analytics at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
I have been passionate about programming and sharing knowledge for years. I founded Code On JVM Chennai, a developer community for Java and Kotlin enthusiasts that has grown to over 6,000 members across more than 25 events, and I have helped organise Google DevFest events with Google Developer Groups Chennai. Through these communities I have run workshops, mentored beginners, and seen how much people can achieve once coding "clicks" for them.
Professionally, I have worked as an Engineering Intern, an Associate Product Manager Intern, a Python Developer Intern and a Web Development Intern, so I can show you not just the theory but how code is used in real projects and companies.
I enjoy teaching because I remember how confusing programming felt at the start. I am patient, friendly and encouraging, and I adapt every lesson to your pace and goals. Whether you want to pass a module, build your first project, or switch into a tech or data career, I'd love to help you get there.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical and hands-on: we learn by writing real code from the very first session. I start by understanding your goals and current level, whether you are a complete beginner, a school or university student preparing for exams and assignments, or a professional moving into data or tech.
A typical 1-hour lesson includes a short explanation of the concept, live coding together, and a small exercise or mini-project you complete with my guidance. I break difficult topics into simple steps, use everyday examples, and give you practice tasks between lessons so you keep improving.
Subjects: Python (basics, data analysis with pandas, automation), Java and Kotlin, SQL, JavaScript, React and web development, plus help with coding assignments and projects.
About me: I hold a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and I am currently studying MSc Business Analytics at UCD Smurfit. I have worked as an engineering intern and product management intern, and I founded a Java/Kotlin developer community in Chennai with thousands of members, where I organised and ran many technical events and workshops. I love helping people get comfortable with code and build confidence step by step.
Lessons are available in Dublin or online, in English, Tamil or Hindi.
