About Katie

As an actress I have worked for TV Channels such as BBC, ITV and Nickelodeon, had leading roles in Feature films and a number of high profile commercial campaigns, including Just Eat, Oral B and Thorntons. I have also written and produced some of my own work, including web series Match Not Found. It received over two million views on YouTube, with award-nominations at the C21 International Drama Awards and the International online web festival. I was also nominated best actress in a web series for 'Match Not Found' at the Raindance Film Festival 2016. My training includes Sight Reading with Nina Finburgh, Simplicity with Bathsheba Garnett, Acting with Passion with Niki Flacks and Toolshop Classes with John Rosenberg Studios LA.

About the lesson

Hello! I'm Katie, an actress and tutor. I offer coaching and support designed to fit round the needs of the student and also based on the knowledge and skills I have developed over the years of working within the industry. I offer the following: * Acting Tuition * Screen acting * commercial casting techniques * Lamda Exam Prep * Public speaking * Sight Reading (this one can be done as a group session) With self tapes I am also happy to read in and offer help in breaking down a scene. As well as adults, I am happy to work with children. I started off quite young in the industry myself and booked a Nickelodeon sitcom when I was 16. We filmed 78 episodes of that series which gave me a real insight into what it's like to work professionally as a youngster. I have also worked training children previously in Theatre workshops and am DBS Certified.

Perfect! Katie has been a wonderful tutor, she has helped remind me how much I love acting and shown me so many useful techniques as well as knowledge in the industry in just a few sessions, Since I’m not studying acting and performance anymore I look forward to these sessions where I get to explore those skills again.

I offer an initial 30 minute consultation for free to allow me to get to know you, assess your strengths and other areas that may be in need of improvement or more confidence, so that I can tailor my lessons to your needs. I do not offer a free consultation in the instance of a commercial casting session, as this would be a one off class or in the case of a self tape where again it would be a one off session.
