About Sarinah
My very first year as a teacher was during the pandemic, when both my students and I were navigating how to learn in an online setting together for the very first time. It was during one of my first lessons that I had a student comment in our chat, “You are the best math teacher I have had!” Other students joined in to say that not all teachers were as nice or patient as I had been when it came to math.
Since that first year, I never forgot those comments. I have always wanted to help students build their confidence in math by being patient and encouraging. I focus on building trust with my students to create a supportive learning environment, where we’re comfortable making mistakes in order to learn from them.

In order to help you feel successful, we will continue to practice skills you already know while introducing new skills until you’ve mastered them. My lessons focus on breaking down essential math standards and teaching them in sections that build upon each other. I work to create lessons that are fun and engaging to celebrate your math learning!
