About Kgothatso
Hello! My name is Kgothatso, and I am a Civil Engineering student at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Mathematics and Physics have always been at the core of my studies, and I enjoy helping others develop a deeper understanding of these subjects.
Engineering has taught me that success isn’t about memorizing formulas it’s about understanding concepts and knowing how to apply them to solve problems. That’s the same approach I bring to every lesson. I aim to make learning simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace and goals.
I understand that every learner faces different challenges. My own academic journey has taught me the value of perseverance, consistency, and asking questions when something doesn’t make sense. Those experiences have made me a patient and supportive tutor who believes every student can improve with the right guidance.
Outside of academics, I enjoy solving challenging problems, learning new skills, and continuously improving myself. I look forward to helping students not only improve their marks but also gain the confidence to tackle Mathematics and Physics with a positive mindset.

Are Mathematics or Physics starting to feel overwhelming? You’re not alone and with the right support, you can build confidence and improve your results.
As a Civil Engineering student at the University of Cape Town (UCT), I use Mathematics and Physics every day to solve real-world engineering problems. My goal is to help students understand the “why” behind each concept, not just memorize formulas.
Every lesson is tailored to your individual needs and learning style. Whether you’re struggling with the basics, preparing for exams, catching up after falling behind, or aiming for distinctions, I’ll guide you through each topic step by step in a patient and supportive environment.
During our lessons, you can expect:
• Clear explanations of difficult concepts
• Step-by-step worked examples
• Exam-style questions and problem-solving techniques
• Homework assistance and revision
• Tips to improve speed, accuracy, and confidence in tests and exams
I tutor:
* Mathematics (Grades 8–12)
* Physical Sciences (Grades 10–12)
* First-year university Mathematics and Physics
I believe every student is capable of improving with the right guidance, consistent practice, and encouragement. My aim is not only to help you achieve better marks but also to develop the confidence and problem-solving skills that will benefit you long after the exam.
Book a lesson, and let’s work together to unlock your full potential!
