About Owais
I am a PhD candidate in Sustainable Development and Climate Change with a background in Civil Engineering and Engineering Management. My research focuses on urban flood risk, climate resilience, quantitative modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
I have international research experience across Europe and have worked in both academic and applied research environments. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Graduate Assistant, supporting university students with coursework, research activities, and data analysis.
I work extensively with Python and quantitative methods and have experience in hydrological modeling, risk and vulnerability assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and multi-criteria decision analysis.
As a tutor, I focus on making complex technical concepts easier to understand and helping students develop the practical skills and confidence to solve problems independently.
