About Carlo
Ciao! I'm an Italian teacher offering classes at all levels, from Beginners to Confident. I come from beautiful southern Italy and have been teaching Italian for over 20 years. Whether you're going to Italy for a short trip and just want to be able to order pizza, or you're an advanced student who'd like to keep practising the language, I'm happy to work with you on your Italian with classes tailored to your specific needs. Contact me: first meeting is free! I began to teach Italian as a foreign language 22 years ago at the Dante Alighieri Institute in Florence. I have since taught in Italy, the United States, Wales and now Scotland, where I've been happily living for 2 years. My students have included young people studying in Italy for a few months, professionals needing to learn or improve their Italian for their jobs and adult students who enjoy learning a new language.

My lessons are tailored to the students' specific needs. During the first class, you'll tell me why you want to study Italian and what you hope to accomplish, and I'll assess your level of proficiency in the language. In the other classes, we'll use a book and other materials that I'll provide to learn Italian in a fun and effective way. We'll work using reading materials, audio materials and videos, learning about Italian language and culture. My motto is: fun makes learning easier!

Carlo is a wonderful teacher. He's extremely well prepared and experienced, very attentive to my needs. And he's a fun and very nice person. Carlo is an excellent tutor! Although learning a language is always challenging, Carlo makes it enjoyable and fun. He knows a lot about Italian culture and he has a lot of interesting anecdotes to share!
