About Jonathan
I am a student at Old Dominion University with a focus on education, previously employed as a professional math tutor at a local university, however I was forced to leave the job as my class schedule conflicted with the most in demand times for tutoring in the approved subjects. I have provided tutoring services for about a year, and have worked in the educational field for about 3 years as a substitute instructor.

My primary method is to try and establish and reinforce connections between the material and its applications. In other words, rather than trying to explain the correct answer I attempt to encourage the student to understand how the correct answer is found, and then obtain the correct answer from that material. I believe that all students want to learn, but get discouraged when some information is hard to grasp or understand.

As I am traveling to you, if an appointment is canceled within 2 hours of the start time or is missed I charge for one hour of the appointment, or deduct one hour from previously paid time.
