About Fatima

I’m a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Calgary who genuinely enjoys helping students learn and grow. I know that subjects like math and science can feel intimidating, so I focus on creating a calm, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I’m patient, approachable, and take the time to explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. My goal is to help students build confidence in their abilities and feel proud of the progress they make.

About the lesson

I use a student-centered approach focused on clarity, structure, and confidence-building. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and needs, breaking down complex concepts into simple, logical steps using examples and guided practice.

A typical lesson includes a brief review, explanation of new concepts, worked examples, and active problem-solving with the student. I check understanding throughout and end with key takeaways or practice suggestions.

What sets me apart is my strong analytical background as a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Calgary and my ability to explain difficult material in a clear, approachable way. I focus on teaching problem-solving skills, not just memorization.

I tutor elementary to high school in English, Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, including homework help, exam prep, and concept reinforcement.
