  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    My journey with yoga began as a personal practice to improve my physical health and manage stress. Over time, I discovered that yoga is much more than a form of exercise—it is a holistic practice that nurtures the body, mind, and breath. This realization inspired me to pursue formal training and become a certified yoga instructor.

    As a researcher pursuing a PhD in cancer genomics, I also appreciate the growing scientific evidence supporting the benefits of yoga for flexibility, strength, posture, stress management, and overall well-being. Teaching yoga allows me to combine my passion for health with my desire to help others lead healthier and more balanced lives.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    My greatest motivation is seeing the positive transformation in my students. Whether someone comes to class to reduce stress, improve flexibility, build strength, or simply feel better, it is incredibly rewarding to witness their progress over time.

    I believe yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or previous experience. Helping people gain confidence in their bodies and develop healthier habits is what inspires me to continue teaching.
  • How does your work help society?

    I believe yoga is not just about physical postures-it is about cultivating balance, compassion, and inner peace. By helping individuals improve their physical and mental well-being, I hope to contribute, in my own small way, to a healthier and happier society, in the spirit of "Lokāḥ Samastāḥ Sukhino Bhavantu"-may all beings be happy and free.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    I admire the many dedicated yoga teachers who preserve the authentic principles of yoga while making the practice accessible to modern lifestyles. Especially my Guru Abhinand C.S is my role model in yoga .They inspire me to continue learning, teach with compassion, and ensure that every class is safe, inclusive, and meaningful for each student.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Outside teaching, I enjoy reading scientific literature, learning about health and wellness, spending time in nature, and practicing mindfulness. I also enjoy exploring different styles of yoga and continuously improving my knowledge through workshops and self-study.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    One of the most rewarding moments as a yoga teacher is seeing students achieve goals they once believed were impossible. I have worked with beginners who initially struggled with balance, flexibility, or confidence. With regular practice and patience, they gradually became stronger, more comfortable in their movements, and more confident in themselves. Seeing these positive changes reminds me that yoga is not about perfection—it's about progress, consistency, and self-discovery. Those moments continue to inspire me every day.
