About David Joseph
I am a Certified TEFL teacher with a degree in English and minors in Speech, spanish, and Chemistry,. I am also a native speaker being born in the USA. My wife is from Bogota, Colombia, so more than one language has always been in the air at our home. Also, I have an interest in linguistics and etymology, which has lead me into Latin and Greek studies. My teaching career began with Homeschooling our children, then teaching as a Medical Arts Program for 4 years then volunteering with community programs for ESL. Also, I have taught Medical Technology programs due to my background as an MTASACP Medical Technologist, specializing in Special Chemistry and Toxicology.

My teaching approach is to first determine exactly what the goals of the student are. When the goals are clearly defined then a discussion begins concerning how and over what time period to achieve those goals.
Once that is determined we then try a few different methods to determine how our student learns; I. e., the personality and preferences of the student. However, the goals remain fixed only the tactics change.
Multiple sources of material is used from all the e- platforms to traditional books and libraries as well as music and movies, whatever is germane to the task.
