About Mary Kate
I am a current Second Grade Teacher in Wake County. I hold both my Undergraduate and Master's Degree from Iona College in NY. I also have my Residency License in K-6 General Education. This is my second year teaching second grade at a charter school in Raleigh. I have a passion for working with children and love the excitement they bring each day. I have experience working with students idividually, in small groups, and in whole group instruction.

In my classroom, I work hard to differentiate lessons to meet students' needs. I believe that scholars learn the most from instruction that is tailored to their individual skill set.
I try my best to make learning fun and include important life skills in our lessons. Our classroom is a place in which students are thinking much bigger than our four walls.
