About Paloma
Well, hello there !
My name is Paloma and I am a Certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TQUK-L5) . I am also finishing my degree in Educational Sciences, focused on a better understanding of learning processes and educational structures and systems from a scientific viewpoint. Besides the TEFL certification, I have also completed: Online English from Cambridge Assessment, The Art of Teaching a Foreign Language to Young Learners from the University of Córdoba, and Business English from ITA Academy. I also have an educational blog and a fan page where I share free resources for students and teachers.
** ** I have been teaching English fully online for just over a year now. Due to the pandemic, and to the high demand for English courses, I decided to open mini-groups at affordable prices for everyone. All courses are 100% remote and personalized. Here's the grouping strategy:
- Private lessons 1 student per class
- Semi-Private 2 or 3 students per class
- Mini Groups 4 - 6 students per class
Schedule flexibility - I arrange the group according to the students' level and availability, you won't have to worry about this. I will only require you to confirm your weekly availability and I will take care of the rest.
Complete language courses starting with 48 hrs., 64 hrs., or 96 hrs. of virtual classes + a 260-hour* lesson plan (* private and semi). According to the CEFRL, to be able to pass from one level to another, at least 200 hours of dedicated study are needed.
You will begin by answering a free placement test and then I ask you to complete a survey so we can both figure out your learning needs. This survey will also help me to plan your course, for example, what kind of music do you listen to? What series do you watch? Do you like to read blogs, or BuzzFeed news, or recipes? Since we're trying to focus on what you like to make your learning experience more engaging.
