About Katie
I have a degree in French and Linguistics and have spent many years teaching for the British Council in various locations throughout South East Asia and Europe as well as for a further education college in London.
I am experienced in teaching the Cambridge suite of exams from KET up to CPE although as a former IELTS examiner this is my main area of expertise.
I also have extensive experience of teaching General and Business English as well as dedicated pronunciation classes to both groups and one-to-one students.

I teach classes to adults at all levels and use a student-centred style of teaching. Because of this, it is important for me to get to know my students' needs, interests, lifestyles and learning expectations. I enjoy using a wide variety of authentic materials such as TED talks and newspaper articles as well as student generated materials as I find this stimulates interest as well as gives an insight into the cultural aspects of the English language.
I have a small training room near Beckenham Junction station or I can come to your home for classes depending on location.
For online classes I use Skype or Zoom.

The free first lesson will last 20 minutes.
