I am a CELTA-qualified English language teacher with more than seven years of teaching experience in Australia, China and Indonesia. I have taught students from beginner level through to advanced and university preparation, including IELTS, Business English, General English, academic English, communication skills, grammar and vocabulary.
I began my teaching career in China, where I taught English and coordinated IELTS preparation for students planning to study in Australia. I later taught in Indonesia, where I worked with children, teenagers and adults and progressed into academic coordination and curriculum development. In Brisbane, I taught international students at EF Education and Study Group Australia, including IELTS, Business English and university-preparation programs.
I have also trained future English teachers through TESOL programs and have extensive experience developing course materials, assessments, lesson plans and learning resources. Some of them have gone on to be online language influencers, and tutors in their own native languages.
Today, I work in the education sector, where I design and deliver professional training for adults and develop educational programs and resources. I also create educational content in Ancient Egyptian history for an online audience of more than 23,000 followers and have written and developed educational material for schools.
My lessons are friendly, practical and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to improve your speaking confidence, prepare for IELTS, develop your academic writing, improve your Business English or simply become more comfortable communicating in English, I will build lessons around what you actually need.
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and challenged at the right level. My aim is to make English practical, interesting and relevant to your life, studies or career.
