About Samer

Over 5+ years experience teaching grades 1-7 in Shenzhen ,China. I am also TOEFL & TESOL certified for any student looking to study abroad. in addition, I attained my Bachelor of Education with a Post Secondary Instructor Certification from the government of Newfoundland.

About the lesson

As a Canadian native English speaker and an educator of English as a second language, my vast experience, credentials and caliber place me as a prime candidate within your organization.

Having taught a breadth of curriculums in China for over 4 years , my greatest accomplishment was the development and implementation of a critical thinking reading curriculum supported by the Nanshan Education Bureau (China ).

My pedagogy during this time set me apart from my peers as one of the most skillful ESL instructors within the district. Moreover, students were able to enhance their speaking level and comprehension of the English language through "shared inquiry", a technique which promotes civic engagement through guided group discussion. Students who weren't aren't able to formulate sentences nor pronounce words were able to have fluid English conversations in a span of 4 months; an 85% success rate amongst the student body.

The need for this student centered approach in 22nd century learning became more evident and prominent within the school, as more Chinese educators were requested to observe my classes as part of a school training which would steer traditional educators away from didactic methodologies.
