I'm a Canadian university student studying health sciences with past experience teaching English to children, youth and adults. My English lessons are for anyone who is interested in learning new English words, correcting their grammar, improving their English pronunciation, reducing their accent when speaking English, and using English in both formal and informal settings. I welcome students of all ages and levels, and will customize my lesson plans based on each student's age, level of English and personal goals. My first free lesson will be focused on assessing the student's English speaking ability and identifying the student's personal goals. As a former Kumon teacher, my teaching style is based on Kumon's teaching method, where I will give a chance for students to find and correct their own errors before stepping in to help. Rather than a rigid and traditional teaching style, I find that guidance and encouragement help students learn more quickly and become more confident in their own abilities. I welcome students from all backgrounds, offer flexible scheduling and lessons are given via Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. Other video-calling apps or websites may be considered.
