About Jay

wordwisetutor.co.uk I am an enthusiastic young man who is passionate about teaching English as a foreign language. I am a Cambridge qualified (CELTA) native speaker from London, U.K. I have worked as an EFL teacher for a decade, including at a popular English school situated on Oxford Street in the heart of central London for a number of years. I have experience teaching every level from absolute beginners all the way to advanced English students. As well as teaching in the UK, I have taught abroad in Spain, where I taught business English and exam preparation. I have also been working online for many years, teaching English to children, teenagers and adults for various online English schools and independently. My experience has enabled me to be able to adapt my teaching style to suit students of all ages and from different backgrounds and cultures, with different learning needs.

wordwisetutor.co.uk I offer 1-1 and group classes for: - General English classes (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking/listening skills) - Exam preparation (IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC/PET/FCE/CAE and more) - Conversational classes to improve speaking skills, fluency and pronunciation. - Writing classes for academic essays, articles and narrative writing. - Business English for various industries. My lessons are personalised for each student's individual needs and are both practical and enjoyable.

Wahyu did extremely well in the lesson today. He participated fully, expressing a willingness to speak about various topics. We did some live speaking practice and also tackled some pronunciation issues that he had. He also learned a few new phrases and some grammar points. It was a pleasure to teach him.
