About Scott
I am a Cambridge English Delta qualified English teacher for second language learners. My work for the last 19 years has been designing personalised English learning programs which are goal-based. I have created programs for students of various levels that focus on all language skills.
I have seen my students grow to communicate with confidence in daily life and at work. I have assisted in improving essay writing, presentation giving and improved exam Speaking and Writing test scores.
Learning the Japanese language and living in another country gave me experience in being the student and understanding the joys and frustrations of learning another language. Currently, I am learning Spanish!

I aim to create enjoyable learning experiences that are focused on the student's personal needs. It needs to be fun but with some serious practice.
An average 90 minute lesson may consist of:
- some review of homework, task writing or skill practice (15 mins)
- warm up of the lesson focus (10 mins)
- skill practice: reading comprehension/listening task (20 mins)
- vocabulary/grammar work (10 mins)
- skill practice: speaking/discussion (15 mins)
- review and feedback (10 mins)
- homework task (10 mins)
