About Christopher
I was born in Wiltshire in the U.K where I spent most of my life. In 2011, I moved overseas to Ukraine for my first ESL Teaching post. While there I worked at a local TV studio making educational programming for digital and satellite television. I also volunteered alongside some American Peace Corps volunteers i met at local schools. This is also where I met my wife and the reason I now live in Dallas, Texas where I've worked in a variety of teaching roles including science experiments for the public and classes at the Dallas Arboretum.
I've also volunteered with after-school reading and literacy programs in disadvantaged areas and worked with teachers and parents to address the needs of those students

Memorable, highly customized lessons based around your personal needs and desires for learning English using real-world scenarios and objects.
I teach using the communicative method, meaning that I build my classes around benchmarks based on your specific need. This means that, for example, classes for a medical professional looking to work in international aid would focus on accuracy of vocabulary and comprehension in listening and reading, rather than their ability to tell jokes, whereas lessons for an IT professional with an intermediate understanding of English who wants to be able to make small talk at a conference would focus less on accuracy and more on tone, intonation and pacing of speech, along with understanding colloquialisms or sarcasm for example.
I also worked as Assistant Director at a residential ESL program in the U.K for 3 years where i also taught ESL, meaning i have experience with a wide variety of nationalities which helps me understand the unique challenges each student faces when trying to learn ESL.
To conclude, I can help you with just about any ESL needs you have, provided that you're comfortable with British English spelling and pronunciation. I can adjust the spelling to suit specific needs but i'm afraid there's nothing I can do about the accent.
