About Lucy
I am in the third year of my study, Linguistics, and I have a real passion for language development. I have done a lot of volunteer work in schools and summer camps for children learning English, both in Spain and the Netherlands. During the first lockdown, I followed a teacher training course (TEFL), which I would really like to use well. Moreover, English is my mother tongue, and after 3 years living abroad, I have an insight of what is important for a communicative level in English.

My method of teaching is a kind immersion. You don't just want to learn vocabulary words. Together we watch texts and videos that deal with topics you are interested in. Then we can talk about the culture, the use of the language, different words, pronunciation and idioms. Throughout my study programme, I have also followed a lot of language classes, so I can adapt and adjust dependent on what you find most helpful.
