About Alisha
In the past, I have worked in kumon and given private tuition to children therefore have great experience in not only understanding but also maintaining a rapport with students! Understanding them is beneficial to tailor my teaching approach respectively to produce the greatest impact! Additionally taking great academic interest from such a young age with the desire to acquire more knowledge! I also love to dance as a way of relieving stress and expressing emotions! Furthermore, after acquiring my biomedical degree, I hope to pursue becoming a dentist, to reach my future clinical endeavours!

By solidifying an essential foundation with the child I can then be quick to scrutinise their strengths and weaknesses and adapt my teaching techniques accordingly to encourage improvement. Typically I would conduct a lesson by giving a short introduction to the topic using a welcoming approach to ease them calmly in. Also setting learning objectives at the start of the lesson to visually represent how much progress I intend to make during the course of the lesson! I will then proceed to outline vital learning methods which worked for me when I had exams and deal with any anxiety they may be facing. Whilst teaching through the content I will answer any questions they may have as well as asking them questions along the way to ensure they are focused and concentrated throughout. Lastly by setting an exam question which wi familiarise them with the scientific vocabulary and essential structure which is necessary for gaining the top marks. Additionally ending the lesson on a conclusion and congratulating them upon the fact they were able to apply and demonstrate learn concepts effortlessly
