About Chaniaya

I am a current student at the University of Brighton, pursuing an Integrated Master’s degree (MSci) in Biomedical Science. My day-to-day university coursework is deeply rooted in the core sciences and practical maths, and I bring one full year of formal experience working as a tutor. Its very important to me that my students are given the opportunity to build confidence and succeed in thier exams. These online sessions are specifically tailored for GCSE students (typically ages 14 to 16) who need extra support with GCSE Mathematics.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is simple, practical, and entirely driven by whatever the student needs on a week-by-week basis. We will focus heavily on exam paper walkthroughs, to master exam technique, and I will be providing direct help with their school homework and current topics. If a student is stuck on a specific topic from class and simply needs a clear recap of the core content, that is exactly what we will spend the lesson doing.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, which provides the perfect amount of time to thoroughly review a homework assignment, recap a module, or break down a past paper. Whether you need steady support or just short-term, ad-hoc help before mocks, I am happy to adapt and fit whatever schedule best supports you.

Additionally, during the lessons we will spend time focusing on the importance of time management and utilising the resources available to students to get the best results possible.
