About Andrea
I am a psychology student living in Texas for the past 6 years. I originally come from Mexico where I have had most of my tutoring and instructing experience.
Initially, I started as a dance teacher for groups of ages 9 to 12, where I learned to collaborate with big groups and younger kids, allowing me to deconstruct my knowledge into simpler terms for everyone to understand equally. Later, I began working as an art and English instructor for kids ages 5-8, I built my syllabi and created lesson plans weekly for engaging and innovative creativity. In high school, I led through my teacher assistant position as a senior. Since it was a boarding school, I also worked as a Resident Advisor in the dorms and led the freshmen group through international accommodating, academic rigor, and campus involvement.
For the past two years, I have been working as an independent tutor in my hometown in Mexico. Offering lessons focused on Algebra, Precalculus, and college essay writing.

- One-on-one video calls. I strive to connect with students and walk through problems and topics calmly and clearly. It is important for me to deconstruct math to be as simple as it can be and later develop our knowledge together.
-We will have a quick overview of the general topic in hand, walk through some exercises together, and then evolve to specifics and technical parts of each topic and lesson. Questions encouraged!!
-I speak both English and Spanish and strive for genuine connection. I love math and understand it to be developments of bases most of us learned since preschool! I want to help others see the simplicity and effectiveness with which we can tackle math.
-My lessons are directed to folks coursing Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus I and II. I offer English and Spanish tutoring. Juniors and Seniors in high school (specifically those preparing to take the SATs), college students who need a bit of help with higher-level math, anyone interested in the topics.
- I also offer help with essay revisions, translation, checking, and crafting. Love to help with college admission essays and English critical writing. Both in English and Spanish, as well.
