About Nancy

Teaching music is often a slow and deliberate process. I admit that I prefer steady progress over rushing through difficult concepts. My Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Victoria University of Wellington provides the foundation for my approach.

Over 12 years, I have helped students navigate the complexities of reading tabs, power chords, and strumming patterns. My methods include reading sheet music, rhythm guitar, and music theory. I also cover tuning and maintenance, fingerpicking, acoustic technique, improvisation and soloing. Do you enjoy challenges that lead to real musical satisfaction?

About the lesson

Progress depends entirely on the consistency of your practice. I include a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high for all students.

My 12 years of teaching allow me to break down acoustic technique and complex improvisation into manageable, logical steps. These sessions prioritize the music you care about while maintaining a focus on solid rhythm and music theory fundamentals. Through years of observation, I have found that structured habits yield the best results for beginners and advanced players alike. Perhaps you would like to start your first session this week?
