About Cristina
I graduated in 2021 with a degree in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where I received classical training in vocal technique, musicianship, and performance.
Following graduation, I began working as a pediatric occupational therapist, supporting children in building developmental, motor, and learning skills through individualized, play-based approaches. This clinical experience has given me a deep understanding of how children learn best—especially through engagement, structure, and confidence-building strategies.
I am now returning to my musical roots by offering voice lessons, blending my formal training with my experience in pediatric development. This combination allows me to teach music in a way that is both technically grounded and highly adaptive to each student’s learning style.
My background as an occupational therapist makes my teaching approach especially effective for beginners and young learners, as I’m skilled at breaking down skills into manageable steps, using creative strategies to support learning, and fostering confidence in students who may need extra encouragement or structure.
I’m passionate about helping students discover their voice, build strong musical foundations, and enjoy learning music in a supportive and engaging environment.
