About Nyala
My name is Nyala, I am a 22-year-old animation student looking to provide artistic help and know-how to other artists and even hobbyists who want to grow their skills or start fresh with art. I’ve been drawing since I was 13 and have studied both independently and in professional settings, which gives me a flexible and relatable teaching style. Currently, I’m working on my own comic while pursuing a career as an art teacher, so I understand the creative process from both the student and professional side. My lessons focus on building a sound foundation in drawing and illustration while keeping things engaging through fun projects like character design, storytelling, and creative sketch games. I believe in balancing structure with creativity so that students not only learn techniques but also discover their unique artistic voice.

I believe learning art should be both structured and fun. I mix fundamentals (anatomy, perspective, shading) with creative exercises like character design, storytelling, and quick sketch games. This keeps lessons engaging while building strong skills.
We start with a short warm-up sketch to loosen up, move into focused practice (such as drawing from life or working on anatomy), then take a fun creative break, like designing a character or experimenting with different styles. Each lesson ends with feedback, encouragement, and a takeaway assignment to keep progress steady.
I’m not just teaching art, I’m actively creating as a comic artist and animation student. I know the challenges of growing as an artist and bring both self-taught creativity and professional training to the table. I also keep things interactive with fun projects that help students stay motivated.
