About Alexis
I am a director for an after-school program and teach multiple subjects such as, literacy, math, engineering and many more. I work with students who are on varying degrees of the autism spectrum as well as those who have delays in specific areas. My English degree is geared towards teaching grades TK-12. I love to sing and dance and will often incorporate music into a lesson to increase engagement. I love what I do and want to help all of my students be the best them!

Hello! My name is Alexis and I love to teach! I assess students to see where their greatest need is and create a plan that works well for their learning style. I am a big advocate for project based and hands-on learning. Tailoring to the students learning style is the key to success. My objective is to make sure the student feels comfortable with the knowledge gained and can effectively use it whether in or outside of school. I also like to incorporate what is being taught in school to enhance their learning, keep them on track with their peers and advance their knowledge. I love helping my students become confident in their English skills and I hope that you will become one of my students in the future!
