About Gail
Everyone learns at a different pace, so learning is not a cookie cutter process. Each student will be assessed, and we will start where they are!
Tutoring and learning take patience on both sides. I remember when I was in school and which classes I excelled in. I remember those teachers that took the time to explain things to me. Sometimes just reading a book of text isn’t enough.
This is the type of experience I want to deliver. Instilling knowledge to empower the student is the key that will provide them with the ability to exceed in life and or a future career.

Slow-paced lessons starting with the basics like phonetics, pronunciation, understanding of letters and sounds. Nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs. Usage of words in structured sentences, grammar, and punctuation. Common phrases and understanding of idioms. Practice makes perfect so there will be plenty of practice and examples for clarity.
Each session is tailored to the student’s needs. I have tutored before from elementary school through high school. I want the students to be comfortable so that they can be open to telling me what they feel they may not understand so we can work on those areas.
I have a B.S. in Business Management with emphasis on Intercultural Communications. I also have an A.A.S. in Electrical Technology with experience in writing technical procedures for companies like Eastman Kodak, National Semiconductor, and Motorola. Previously I have been responsible for compiling information, writing, and publishing newsletters for companies where I was employed. Additionally, I have experience in public speaking and event planning.
