Letter of Recommendation Darlene Guillot
I am Richard DeBuys, former technical writer, former operations manager, and former president of Well Control School. Darlene Guillot was employed at Well Control School principally as a technical and graphic artist during the several years it took to develop and produce the Well Control School Blowout Prevention Manual. It was the first full color manual and consisted of several hundred pages. Her expertise went beyond those traditionally set aside for her craft. Her talents and high work ethics saved over six months of production time on that project and we were able to use her skills on another industry first taking a seven day industry and US Department of the Interior Minerals Management Service required courses on blowout prevention and well control training using interactive computer based course delivery. Her graphic skills from concept to fruition, again, saved many months. Darlene’s recommendations slashed the time we had allocated on both those projects. Again, years later while working as a technical manager for Wild Well Control, an industry leading oil well blowoutI mitigation company I found that I needed several non-proprietary illustrations and I had no hesitation to contact her again. Those illustrations have been embedded in many departments throughout the industry.
