About Blake

I’m Blake Wright, a creative professional with a BA in Theatre Performance from the University of Southern Maine. My education provided a strong foundation in acting, filmmaking, and storytelling, which I’ve built upon through a variety of experiences. As an award-winning film director and SAG-E actor, I have worked on projects spanning genres and formats, from intimate short films to ambitious feature-length stories. These experiences have taught me the art of collaboration and have strengthened my vision as both a performer and a director.

In addition to my work in film and acting, I bring a diverse set of skills in education and coaching. I’ve taught and coached martial arts and basketball, helping students build not only physical skills but also confidence, resilience, and discipline. This experience translates into my personalized teaching approach for acting and creativity, where I tailor my methods to each student’s goals, fostering a supportive and inspiring environment.

On my journey, I recently completed a personal challenge of creating over 365 songs in a year, demonstrating my passion for music and my dedication to growth as an artist. I’m constantly finding new ways to express myself, whether it’s through music, film, or working directly with others to unlock their potential.

About the lesson

As a passionate educator, I believe in a personalized and tailored approach to teaching. I work closely with each student to identify their unique strengths and challenges, adapting my methods to meet their specific goals and aspirations. My teaching style is highly interpersonal and supportive, fostering a creative, safe space where students feel encouraged to explore, take risks, and develop their authentic voice. Whether in acting, creative writing, or cultivating creativity, my goal is to guide students toward genuine self-expression and to help them build the skills they need to excel in their craft.
